Provided likewife, and it is hereby enafted, That this Aft, or any thing herein contained, verfities «ferved. flj a ll not extend, or be conftrued to extend to prejudice the antient Right or Cuftom of the two Univerfities of Oxford or Cambridge, or either of them, or of their or either of their Clerks of the Market, or the Praftice within the feveral Jurifdiftions of the faid Univerfities, or either of them, ufed to afcertain and appoint the Weight of all Sorts of Bread to be fold or expofed to Sale within their feveral Jurifdiftions ; but that they and every of them (hall and may feverally and refpec- tively, from time to time as there (hall be Occafion, afcertain and appoint within their feveral and refpeftive Jurifdiftions the Weight of all Sorts of Bread to be fold or expofed to Sale by any Baker or other Perfon whatfoever within the Limits of their feveral Jurifdiftions ; and (hall and may punifh the Breach thereof as fully and freely in all Refpefts as they ufed to do, and as if this Ait had never been made ; any Thing herein contained to the contrary thereof in any wife notwith- ftanding. An Aft for granting to his Majefty feveral additional Duties upon Wines imported into this Kingdom, and certain Duties upon all Cyder and Perry ; and for raifing the Sum of three millions five hundred thoufand Pounds by way of Annuities and Lotte- ries, to be charged on the faid Duties.
