XVII. And, as to the faid Sum of thirty-three thoufand three hundred fifty-one Pounds feven- teen Shillings and fix Pence, and eighty-eight thoufand feven hundred and four Pounds three Shil- lings and four Pence, by this Act appropriated, on account of Half-pay as aforefaid, It is hereby enacted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the Rules herein after prefcribed, fhall be duly obferved in the Application of the faid Half-pay ; that is to fay, That no Perfon fhall have or Rules to be obferued in receive any Part of the fame, who was a Minor, and under the Age of fix teen Years at the Time when the Application of the- the Regiment, Troop or Company in which he ferved, was reduced ; that no Perfon fhall' have or a ~^ y " receive any Part of the fame, except fuch Perfon who did actual Service in fome Regiment, Troop See^.Geo. 3.C 23. or Company; that no Perfon having any other Place or Employment of Profit, Civil or Military, under his Majefty, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half-pay ; That no Chaplain of any Garrifon or Regiment, who has any Ecclefiaftical Benefice in Great Britain or Ireland, fhall have or receive any Part of the faid Half pay ; that no Perfon fhall have or receive any Part of' the fame,. -who has refigned his Commiffion, and has had no CommifTion fince; that no Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any Perfon by virtue of any Warrant or Appointment, except to fuch Perfons as would have been otherwife intitled to the fame as reduced Officers ; and thatno Part of the fame fhall be allowed to any of the Officers of the five Regiments of Dragoons, and eight Regiments of- r Foot, lately difbanded in Ireland, except to fuch as were lately taken off" the Eftablifhment of Half- pay in Great Britain. ' XVIII. And whereas by an Act of Parliament made and pafTed : in the fecond Year of his pre- Claufe in the Aa of a ' fent Majefty's Reign, intituled, An Ac! for enabling his Majefty to raife the Sum of one million, for Ge0, 3- '• 34- 4 the Ujes and Purpofes therein mentioned ; and for further appropriating the Supplies granted in this 1 SeJJion of Parliament ; and for allowing Time for the Payment, of the Stamp Duties omitted to be paid upon ' Admifiions into Corporations or Companies, and Appointments to Offices therein ; and for the Relief of ' William Earle, in refpeil of a Quantity of White Salt lojl by the Wreck of a Ship near the Harbour of , ' Dublin; the feveral Supplies which had been granted to his prefent Majefty, as is therein men- ' tioned, were appropriated to the feveral Ufes and Purpofes therein exprefTed ; amongft which, ' any Sum or Sums not exceeding thirty-four thoufand three hundred and eighty-three Pounds, was ' appropriated to. be paid to the reduced Officers of his Majefty's Land Forces and Marines, fub- ' jedt.
