therfore how you heare. For he that hath, to him shal be given; and whosoever hath not, that also which he thinketh he hath, shal be taken away from him.

Mar. 4, 26.* And it came to passe one day; and he went up into a boat, and his Disciples, and he said to them: Let us strike over the lake. And they launched forth. 23And when they were sailing, he slept; and there fel a storme of wind into the lake, and they c complebanturc were filled, and were in danger. 24And [2] they came and raised him, saying: Maister, we perish. But he rising, rebuked the winde and the tempest of water; and it ceased, and there was made a calme. 25And he said to them: Where is your faith? Who fearing, marveled one to an other, saying: Who is this (trow ye) that he commandeth both the winds and the sea, and they obey him? 26 Mt. 8, 28.
Mr. 5, 1.* And they sailed to the countrie of the Gerasens which is over against Galilee.
27And when he was come forth to the land, there met him a certaine man that had a Divel now a very long time, and he did weare no clothes, neither did he tarie in house, but in the monuments. 28And as he saw Jesus, he fel downe before him; and crying out with a great voice, he said: What is to me and thee Jesus Sonne of God most high? I beseech thee doe not torment me. 29For he commanded the uncleane Spirit to goe forth out of the man. For many times he caught him, and he was bound with chaines, and kept with fetters; and breaking the bonds was driven of the Divel into the deserts. 30And Jesus asked him saying: What is thy name? But he said: Legion; because many Divels were entred into him. 31And they besought him that he would not command them to goe into the depth. 32And there was there a heard of many swine feeding on the mountaine; and they desired him that he would permit them to enter into them. And he permitted them. 33The Divels therfore went forth out of the man, and entred into the swine; and the heard with violence went headlong into the lake, and was stifled. 34Which when the swinheards saw done, they fled, and told into the citie and into the townes. 35And they went forth to see that which was done; and they came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the Divels were gone forth, sitting at his feet, clothed, and wel in his wits, and they were afraid. 36And they also that had seen, told them how he had been made whole from the legion. 37And al the multitude of the countrie of the Gerasens besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great feare. And he going up into the boat, returned. 38And the man out of whom the Divels were departed, desired him that he might be with him. But Jesus dimissed him, saying: 39Returne into thy house, and tel how great things God hath done to thee. And he went through the whole citie, preaching how great things Jesus had done to him.
