The Dispensary.

Tho' bless'd Astrea's gone, some Soil remains
Where Fortune is the Slave, and Merit reigns.

The Tyber boasts his Julian Progeny,
Thames his Nassau, the Nyle his Ptolomy,
Iberia, yet for future Sway design'd,
Shall, for a H——, a greater M—— find.
Thus [1]Ariadne in proud Triumph rode,
She lost a [2]Heroe, and she found a [3]God.

  1. See Steph.
  2. Theseus.
  3. Baccuus.
