M the United States, for its constitutional action thereon, the Senate did, on ' the twelfth day of April eighteen hundred and fifty-four advise and consent to the ratineation bf its articles, with an amendment, thereto proposed, by a resolution in the words and figures following, to wit: -·— " IN EXECUTIVE SESSION, SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES, “ApriZ 12, 1854. "ResoZvacZ, (two thirds of the senators present concurring) That the Senate advise and consent to the ratification of the stipulations of a treaty made and entered into at Table Rock, near Rogue River, in the Territory of Oregon this 10th day of September Anno Domini 1853 by and between Jdel Palmer, Superintendent of Indian Affairs, and Sainuel H. Culver, Indian Agent, on the part of the United States, and Jo. Aps—erka—har principal chief Sam. To-qua-he-ar and Jim Ana-chah-a-rah subordinate chiefs, and Others, headmen of the bands of the Rogue Rive; tribe of Indians, on the part of said tribe, with the following " AMENDMENT : " Add the following as a new article " ARTICLE 7. It is agreed between the United States and the Rogue Fm,,,, may be River tribe of Indians, that, should it at any time hereafter be considered established- by the United States as aproper policy to establish farms among and for the benefit of said Indians, it shall be discretionary with the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to change the annuities herein provided for, or any part thereof, into a fund for that purpose.
