To extend until October 13, 1986, the emergency acquisition and net worth guarantee provisions of the Gam-St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) section 141(a) of the Gam-St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982 is amended by striking out "September 15, 1986" and inserting in lieu thereof "October 13, 1986". (b) Section 206(a) of such Act is amended by striking out "September 15, 1986" and inserting in lieu thereof "October 13, 1986". (c^ No amendment made by section 141(a) or section 206(a) of the Gam-St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982, as in effect on the day before the date of the enactment of this Act, to any other provision of law shall be deemed to have taken effect before such date of enactment and any such provision of law shall be in effect as if no such amendment had taken effect before such date of enactment.
