Public Law 99-278 99th Congress An Act To extend for 3 months the emergency acquisition and net worth guarantee provisions of the Garn-St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) section 141(a) of the Garn-St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982 (relating to emergency acquisitions) is amended by striking out "April 15, 1986" and inserting in lieu thereof "July 15, 1986". (b) Section 206(a) of the Garn-St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982 (relating to net worth certificates) is amended by striking out "April 15, 1986" and inserting in lieu thereof "July 15, 1986". Approved April 24, 1986.
