PUBLIC LAW 100-7—MAR. 5, 1987 system should continue to be supported as an important investment in the Nation's future; and that the one hundredth anniversary of the enactment of the Hatch Act of 1887 should be commemorated on March 2, 1987. SEC. 2. The President is authorized and requested to issue a proclamation commemorating the enactment of the Hatch Act of March 2, 1887, and its role in establishing our Nation's system of State agricultural experiment stations.
