(a) DEFINITION.—Section 103 of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5603) is amended— (1) in paragraph (15) by striking "and" at the end, (2) in paragraph (16) by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon, and (3) by adding at the end the following: "(17) the term 'Council' means the Coordinating Council on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention established in section 206(a)(l); and "(18) the term 'Indian tribe' means— "(A) a federally recognized Indian tribe; or "(B) an Alaskan Native organization.". 0)) CONFORMING AMENDMENT.—Section 206(a)(1) of the Juvenile

Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5616(a)(1)) is amended by striking "(hereinafter referred to as the 'Council')".
