MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS. (a) IN GENERAL.— The first sentence of section 612(a) of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 290aa-3 note) is amended by striking "$11,000,000" and all that follows through "1991," and inserting the following: "such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1991 through 1993,". (b) TECHNICAL CORRECTION. —Section 612(b) of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 290aa-3 note) is amended by striking "section 504(f)" and inserting "section 520 of the Public Health Service Act". SEC. 522. ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE TREATMENT OF HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS. Section 5130)) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb- 2(b)) is amended by striking "$14,000,000" and all that follows and inserting the following: "such sums as may be necessary for each of the fiscal years 1991 through 1993.". TITLE VI—EDUCATION, TRAINING, COM- MUNITY SERVICE, AND FAMILY SUP- PORT SEC. 601. SHORT TITLE. This title may be cited as the "Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Amendments Act of 1990". SEC. 602. DEFINITION OF HOMELESS. Section 103(b) of the Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11302(b)) is amended to read as follows: "(b) INCOME ELIGIBILTTY. — "(1) IN GENERAL. — A homeless individual shall be eligible for assistance under any program provided by this Act, only if the individual complies with the income eligibility requirements otherwise applicable to such program. "(2) EXCEPTION. —Notwithstanding paragraph (1), a homeless individual shall be eligible for assistance under the Job Training Partnership Act.".
