(i) NUCLEAR CAREER ANNUAL INCENTIVE BONUS. —Section 312c(d) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking out "October 1, 1995" and inserting in lieu thereof "October 1, 1996". Subtitle C—Travel and Transportation Allowances SEC. 621. RESPONSroiLITY FOR PREPARATION OF TRANSPORTATION MILEAGE TABLES. Section 404(d)(1)(A) of title 37, United States Code, is amended by striking out "the Secretary of the Army" and inserting in lieu thereof "the Secretary of Defense". SEC. 622. PAYMENT FOR TRANSIENT HOUSING FOR MEMBERS OF A RESERVE COMPONENT PERFORMING CERTAIN TRAINING DUTY. Section 404 of title 37, United States Code, is amended— (1) by redesignating subsection (j) as subsection (k); and (2) by inserting after subsection (i) the following new subsection: "(j)(l) In the case of a member of a reserve component performing annual training duty or inactive-duty training who is not otherwise entitled to travel and transportation allowances in connection with such duty under subsection (a), the Secretary concerned may reimburse the member for housing service charge expenses incurred by the member in occupying transient government housing during the performance of such duty. Regulations. «(2) Any payment or other benefit under this subsection shall be provided in accordance with regulations prescribed by the Secretaries concerned. "(3) The Secretary may pay service charge expenses under paragraph (1) out of funds appropriated for operation and maintenance for the reserve component concerned.". SEC. 623. CHANGE IN PROVISION OF TRANSPORTATION INCIDENT TO PERSONAL EMERGENCIES FOR MEMBERS STATIONED OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES. Section 411d(b) of title 37, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (1)— (A) in the matter preceding the subparagraphs, by striking "from the international airport" and all that follows through "or the international airport nearest" and inserting in lieu thereof "from the location of the member or dependents, at the time notification of the personal emergency is received, or"; and (B) in subparagraph (A), by striking "closest to the international airport" and inserting in lieu thereof "closest to the location"; and (2) in paragraph (4), by striking "to the international airport" and all that follows through the period and inserting in lieu thereof "to the location from which the member or dependent departed or the member's duty station.".
