Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Represcnf»1tz'ves of the Ulzited Regiment vf States of America in Congress assembled, That the President of the $5’;Kcc:°30"t§i United States be authorized to receive into the service of the United received into the States one regiment of Texas mounted volunteers, to be raised and organ- U¤¤l*§>d Smeé ized by the State of Texas for the defence and protection of the frontier €§;:’$0${ui*§l;:tl1ereof, to continue in service from the time that the whole regiment less sooner dis- shall be mustered into service, for the term of eighteen months, unless °£:;€°£m 0s8d sooner discharged by the President.
