PUBLIC LAW 104-201—SEPT. 23, 1996 110 STAT. 2781 (B) for the Air Force Reserve, $52,805,000. SEC. 2602. AUTHOMZATION AND FUNDING FOR CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF NAVAL RESERVE CENTERS. (a) ARMY RESERVE CENTERS.— Using amounts appropriated under the heading "MILITARY CONSTRUCTION, NAVAL RESERVE" in the Military Construction Appropriations Act, 1995 (Public Law 103-307; 108 Stat. 1661), for the construction of a Naval Reserve Center in Seattle, Washington, the Secretary of the Army may carry out a military construction project for the construction of an Army Reserve Center at Fort Lawton, Washington, in the total amount of $5,200,000, of which $700,000 may be used for program and design activities relating to such construction. (b) NAVAL RESERVE FACILITIES. — Using amounts appropriated under the heading "MILITARY CONSTRUCTION, NAVAL RESERVE" in the Military Construction Appropriations Act, 1995 (Public Law 103-307; 108 Stat. 1661), for the construction of a Naval Reserve Center in Seattle, Washington, the Secretary of the Navy may carry out— (1) a military construction project for the construction of an addition to the Naval Reserve Center in Tacoma, Washington, in the total amount of $4,200,000; (2) unspecified minor construction at Naval Reserve facilities in the total amount of $500,000; and (3) planning and design activities with respect to improvements at Naval Reserve facilities in the total amount of $500,000. SEC. 2603. UPGRADE AIR NATIONAL GUARD FACILITIES, BANGOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MAINE. (a) PROJECT AUTHORIZED. —Using amounts appropriated pursuant to the authorization of appropriations in section 2601(3)(A) and amounts appropriated pursuant to authorizations of appropriations enacted after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Air Force may carry out a construction project to upgrade Air National Guard base and support facilities at Bangor International Airport, Maine. The Secretary may contract for architectural and engineering services and construction design services in connection with the construction project. (b) LIMITATION ON TOTAL COST OF PROJECT. —The total cost of the construction project authorized by subsection (a) may not exceed $13,000,000. (c) FISCAL YEAR 1997 FUNDING. —Of the amount authorized to be appropriated in section 2601(3)(A), $7,000,000 shall be available to carry out the construction project authorized by subsection (a).
