(7) For the construction of the whole barracks complex renewal. Fort Knox, Kentucky, authorized by section 2101(a) of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1997 (division B of Public Law 104-201; 110 Stat. 2763), $22,000,000. (b) LIMITATION ON TOTAL COST OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.— Notwithstanding the cost variations authorized by section 2853 of title 10, United States Code, and any other cost variation authorized by law, the total cost of all projects carried out under section 2101 of this Act may not exceed— (1) the total amount authorized to be appropriated under paragraphs (1) and (2) of subsection (a); (2) $14,400,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for the construction of the Force XXI Soldier Development School at Fort Hood, Texas); (3) $24,000,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for rail yard expansion at Fort Carson, Colorado); (4) $43,000,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for the construction of a disciplinary barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas); (5) $42,500,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for the construction of a barracks at Hunter Army Airfield, Fort Stewart, Georgia); (6) $17,000,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for the construction of a barracks at Fort Sill, Oklahoma); (7) $14,000,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for the construction of a missile software engineering facility at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama); and (8) $8,500,000 (the balance of the amount authorized under section 2101(a) for the construction of an aerial gunnery range at Fort Drum, New York). (c) ADJUSTMENT.— The total amount authorized to be appropriated pursuant to paragraphs (1) through (7) of subsection (a) is the sum of the amounts authorized in such paragraphs, reduced by $36,600,000, which represents the combination of savings resulting from adjustments to foreign currency exchange rates for military construction projects and the support of military family housing outside the United States. SEC. 2105. CORRECTION E»J AUTHORIZED USES OF FUNDS, FORT IRWIN, CALIFORNIA. The Secretary of the Army may carry out a military construction project at Fort Irwin, California, to construct a heliport for the National Training Center at Barstow-Daggett, California, using the following amounts: (1) Amounts appropriated pursuant to the authorization of appropriations in section 2104(a)(1) of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1995 (division B of Public Law 103-337; 108 Stat. 3029) for a military construction project
