113 STAT. 76 PUBLIC LAW 106-31—MAY 21, 1999 EMERGENCIES IN THE DIPLOMATIC AND CONSULAR SERVICE Notwithstanding section 15 of the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956, an additional amount for "Emergencies in the Diplomatic and Consular Service", $2,929,000, to remain available until expended, of which $500,000 shall be transferred to the Peace Corps and $450,000 shall be transferred to the United States Information Agency, for evacuation and related costs: Provided, That the entire amount is designated by the Congress as an emergency requirement piu^suant to section 251(b)(2)(A) of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985, as amended.
