PUBLIC LAW 106-113—APPENDIX G 113 STAT. 1501A-475 (c) AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.— The Secretary may make a grant to nongovernmental organizations currently engaged in monitoring activities regarding political prisoners in the People's Republic of China in order to assist in the establishment and maintenance of the registry required by subsection (a). TITLE IX—ARREARS PAYMENTS AND REFORM Subtitle A—General Provisions SEC. 901. SHORT TITLE. This title may be cited as the "United Nations Reform Act of 1999". SEC. 902. DEFINITIONS. In this title: (1) APPROPRIATE CONGRESSIONAL COMNIITTEES. —The term "appropriate congressional committees" means the Committee on Foreign Relations and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate and the Committee on International Relations and the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives. (2) DESIGNATED SPECIALIZED AGENCY DEFINED. — The term "designated specialized agency" means the International Labor Organization, the World Health Organiza1:ion, and the Food and Agriculture Organization. (3) GENERAL ASSEMBLY.— The term "'General Assembly" means the General Assembly of the United Nations. (4) SECRETARY GENERAL.— The term "Secretary General" means the Secretary General of the United Nations. (5) SECURITY COUNCIL.— The term "Security Council" means the Security Council of the United Nations. (6) UNITED NATIONS MEMBER.— The term "United Nations member" means any country that is a member of the United Nations. (7) UNITED NATIONS PEACEKEEPING OPERATION. — The term "United Nations peacekeeping operation" means any United Nations-led operation to maintain or restore international peace or security that— (A) is authorized by the Security Council; and (B) is paid for from assessed contributions of United Nations members that are made available for peacekeeping activities.
