Subtitle A—Officer Personnel Policy SEC. 501. ELIGIBILITY OF ARMY AND AIR FORCE RESERVE COLONELS AND BRIGADIER GENERALS FOR POSITION VACANCY PROMOTIONS. Section 14315(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (1), by inserting after "(A) is assigned to the duties of a general officer of the next higher reserve grade in the Army Reserve" the following: "or is recommended for such an assignment under regulations prescribed by the Secretary of the Army"; and (2) in paragraph (2), by inserting after "(A) is assigned to the duties of a general officer of the next higher reserve
