118 STAT. 3694 PUBLIC LAW 108–458—DEC. 17, 2004 ‘‘(G) Other offices within the Department of Defense for the collection of specialized national intelligence through reconnaissance programs. ‘‘(H) The intelligence elements of the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Marine Corps, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Department of Energy. ‘‘(I) The Bureau of Intelligence and Research of the Department of State. ‘‘(J) The Office of Intelligence and Analysis of the Department of the Treasury. ‘‘(K) The elements of the Department of Homeland Security concerned with the analysis of intelligence information, including the Office of Intelligence of the Coast Guard. ‘‘(L) Such other elements of any other department or agency as may be designated by the President, or des- ignated jointly by the Director of National Intelligence and the head of the department or agency concerned, as an element of the intelligence community.’’. SEC. 1074. REDESIGNATION OF NATIONAL FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM AS NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE PROGRAM. (a) REDESIGNATION.—Paragraph (6) of section 3 of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 401a) is amended by striking ‘‘Foreign’’. (b) CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.—(1)(A) Section 506 of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 415a) is amended— (i) in subsection (a), by striking ‘‘National Foreign Intel- ligence Program’’ and inserting ‘‘National Intelligence Pro- gram’’; and (ii) in the section heading, by striking ‘‘FOREIGN’’. (B) Section 105 of that Act (50 U.S.C. 403–5) is amended— (i) in paragraphs (2) and (3) of subsection (a), by striking ‘‘National Foreign Intelligence Program’’ and inserting ‘‘National Intelligence Program’’; and (ii) in the section heading, by striking ‘‘FOREIGN’’. (2) Section 17(f) of the Central Intelligence Agency Act of 1949 (50 U.S.C. 403q(f)) is amended by striking ‘‘National Foreign Intel- ligence Program’’ and inserting ‘‘National Intelligence Program’’. SEC. 1075. REPEAL OF SUPERSEDED AUTHORITY. Section 111 of the National Security Act of 1947 (50 U.S.C. 404f) is repealed. SEC. 1076. CLERICAL AMENDMENTS TO NATIONAL SECURITY ACT OF 1947. The table of contents in the first section of the National Security Act of 1947 is amended— (1) by striking the items relating to sections 102 through 105 and inserting the following new items: ‘‘Sec. 101A. Joint Intelligence Community Council. ‘‘Sec. 102. Director of National Intelligence. ‘‘Sec. 102A. Responsibilities and authorities of the Director of National Intelligence. ‘‘Sec. 103. Office of the Director of National Intelligence. ‘‘Sec. 103A. Deputy Directors of National Intelligence. ‘‘Sec. 103B. National Intelligence Council. ‘‘Sec. 103C. General Counsel. ‘‘Sec. 103D. Civil Liberties Protection Officer. ‘‘Sec. 103E. Director of Science and Technology.
