TITLE I—TARIFF PROVISIONS SEC. 1001. REFERENCE; EXPIRED PROVISIONS.
(a) REFERENCE.—Except as otherwise expressly provided, whenever in this title, title II, and title III an amendment or repeal is expressed in terms of an amendment to, or repeal of, a chapter, subchapter, note, additional U.S. note, heading, subheading, or other provision, the reference shall be considered to be made to a chapter, subchapter, note, additional U.S. note, heading, subheading, or other provision of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (19 U.S.C. 3007). (b) EXPIRED PROVISIONS.—Subchapter II of chapter 99 is amended by striking the following headings:
