S.C. 45 0i(b)). ‘‘(ii) The program providing competitive grants for ris k management education established under section 524(a)( 3 ) of the Federal Crop Insurance Act (7 U.S.C. 1 524(a)(3)). ‘‘(iii) The program providing community food pro j ect competitive grants established under section 25 of the Food and N utrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2034). ‘‘(iv) The program providing grants for beginning farmer and rancher development established under sec- tion 7405 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (7 U.S.C. 331 9 f). ‘‘(v) The program providing grants under section 1417(j) of the National Agricultural Research, E x ten- sion, and Teaching P olicy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3152(j)). ‘‘(vi) The program providing grants for H ispanic- serving institutions established under section 1455 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3241). ‘‘(vii) The program providing competitive grants for international agricultural science and education programs under section 1459A of the National Agricul- tural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3292b). ‘‘(viii) The research and extension projects carried out under section 1 6 21 of the Food, Agriculture, Con- servation, and Trade Act of 1990 (7 U.S.C. 5811). ‘‘(ix) The organic agriculture research and exten- sion initiative established under section 1672 B of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act of 1990 (7 U.S.C. 5925b). ‘‘(x) The specialty crop research initiative under section 412 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998. ‘‘(xi) The administration and management of the Agricultural Bioenergy Feedstock and Energy Effi- ciency Research and Extension Initiative carried out under section 1672C of the Food, Agriculture, Con- servation, and Trade Act of 1990. ‘‘(xii) The research, extension, and education pro- grams authori z ed by section 407 of the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998 (7 U.S.C. 7627) relating to the competitiveness, viability and sustainability of small- and medium-sized dairy, livestock, and poultry operations. ‘‘(xiii) O ther programs that are competitive pro- grams, as determined by the Secretary. ‘‘(E) DIRECTO R. — The term ‘Director ’ means the Director of the Institute.
