(c) U SE O F GRANT F UN D S.—Grants made under this section shall be used to recruit, retain, train, and develop professionals to w ork in forestry and related fields with Federal agencies, such as the Forest Service, State agencies, and private-sector entities. D E FI NI T I O NS. ‘ ‘E x cept as otherwise provided, in this title: ‘‘(1) AD M INISTRATOR.—The term ‘Administrator ’ means the Administrator of the Environmental P rotection Agency. ‘‘(2) AD V ISORY C OMMITTEE.—The term ‘Advisory Committee’ means the B iomass Research and D evelopment Technical Advisory Committee established by section 9008(d)(1). ‘‘( 3 ) ADVANCED B IOFUEL.— ‘‘(A) IN G ENERAL.—The term ‘advanced biofuel’ means fuel derived from renewable biomass other than corn kernel starch. ‘‘(B) INCLUSIONS.—Sub j ect to subparagraph (A), the term ‘advanced biofuel’ includes— ‘‘(i) biofuel derived from cellulose, hemicellulose, or lignin
‘‘(ii) biofuel derived from sugar and starch (other than ethanol derived from corn kernel starch); ‘‘(iii) biofuel derived from waste material, including crop residue, other vegetative waste material, animal waste, food waste, and yard waste; ‘‘(iv) diesel-equivalent fuel derived from renewable biomass, including vegetable oil and animal fat; ‘‘(v) biogas (including landfill gas and sewage waste treatment gas) produced through the conversion of organic matter from renewable biomass; ‘‘(vi) butanol or other alcohols produced through the conversion of organic matter from renewable bio- mass; and ‘‘(vii) other fuel derived from cellulosic biomass. 7USC810 1 .
