Regulations prescribed by the Secretary of a military department shall be sub j ect to the approval of the Secretary of D efense. ‘‘(e) TERMINATION.— N o reimbursement may be provided under this section for travel that occurs after December 3 1,2 010. ’ ’. (b) A P PLICATION O F AMENDMENT.—No reimbursement may be provided under section 408a of title 37, U nited States Code, as added by subsection (a), for travel costs incurred before the date of the enactment of this Act. SEC.632 . S URVI V O RSO FD ECE A SED M EM B ERS E L I G IBLE FOR T RA N S P ORTATION TO ATTEND BURIAL CEREMONIES. (a) E LIGIBLE RELATI V ES.— P aragraph (1) of section 411f(c) of title 37, United States Code, is amended— (1) by stri k ing subparagraph ( B ) and inserting the following new subparagraph: ‘‘(B) The child or children of the deceased member (including stepchildren, adopted children, and illegitimate chil - dren).’’

and (2) by adding at the end the following new subparagraphs: ‘‘(D) The sibling or siblings of the deceased member. ‘‘(E) The person who directs the disposition of the remains of the deceased member under section 1482(c) of title 10 or, in the case of a deceased member whose remains are commin- gled and buried in a common grave in a national cemetery, the person who would have been designated under such section to direct the disposition of the remains if individual identifica- tion had been made.’’. (b) O T H ER PERSONS.—Paragraph (2) of such section is amended to read as follows: ‘‘(2) I f no person described in subparagraphs (A) through (D) of paragraph (1) is provided travel and transportation allowances under subsection (a)(1), the travel and transportation allowances may be provided to one or two other persons who are closely related to the deceased member and are selected by the person referred to in paragraph (1)(E). A person provided travel and transportation allowances under this paragraph is in addition to the person referred to in paragraph (1)(E).’’. SEC. 633.
