(d) A P P RAIS A L S. — ( 1 ) INGE NERAL.— T he Federal parcel and the Deerfield parcel shall be appraised by an independent appraiser selected by the Secretary. ( 2 ) R E QU IRE M EN T S.—An appraisal conducted under para- graph (1) shall be conducted in accordance with— (A) the U niform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions; and (B) the Uniform Standards of P rofessional Appraisal Practice. ( 3 ) APPR OV AL.—The appraisals conducted under this sub- section shall be submitted to the Secretary for approval. SEC.1405 .S ODAM O UNT A I N W I L DE R NESS. (a) DESIGNATION.—In accordance with the W ilderness Act (1 6 U.S.C. 1131 et seq.), approximately 2 4 ,1 0 0 acres of Monument land, as generally depicted on the wilderness map, is designated as wilderness and as a component of the N ational Wilderness Preservation System, to be k nown as the ‘ ‘Soda Mountain Wilder- ness ’ ’. (b) MAP AN D LEGAL DES C RIPTION.— (1) SU B MISSION O F MAP AND LEGAL DESCRIPTION.—As soon as practicable after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall file a map and legal description of the Wilder- ness with— (A) the Committee on E nergy and Natural Resources of the Senate; and (B) the Committee on Natural Resources of the H ouse of Representatives. (2) FORCE AND EFFECT.— (A) IN GENERAL.—The map and legal description filed under paragraph (1) shall have the same force and effect as if included in this subtitle, except that the Secretary may correct any clerical or typographical error in the map or legal description. (B) NOTIFICATION.—The Secretary shall submit to Con- gress notice of any changes made in the map or legal description under subparagraph (A), including notice of the reason for the change. (3) PUBLIC AVAILABILIT Y .—The map and legal description filed under paragraph (1) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the Bureau of Land Management.
