(4) L E W IS AND CLAR K NATIONAL H ISTORIC TRAIL.—Section 5(a)(6) of the National Trails System Act (16 U.S.C. 1244(a)(6)) is amended by adding at the end the following: ‘‘No land or interest in land outside the exterior boundaries of any federally administered area may be acquired by the Federal Government for the trail except with the consent of the owner of the land or interest in land. (7) ICE A G E NATIONAL SCENIC TRAIL.—Section 5(a)(1 0 )of the National Trails System Act (16 U.S.C. 1244(a)(10)) is amended by adding at the end the following: ‘‘No land or interest in land outside the exterior boundaries of any federally administered area may be acquired by the Federal Government for the trail except with the consent of the owner of the land or interest in land.’’. (8) P OTO M AC HERITAGE NATIONAL SCENIC TRAIL.—Section 5(a)(11) of the National Trails System Act (16 U.S.C. 1244(a)(11)) is amended— (A) by stri k ing the fourth and fifth sentences

and ( B ) by adding at the end the following: ‘‘No land or interest in land outside the exterior boundaries of any federally administered area may be acquired by the Federal Government for the trail except with the consent of the owner of the land or interest in land.’’.
