SEC.1309 . NATIO NA L SE RV ICE P RO G RA M ASSISTANCE RE QU IRE - MENTS. Section 1 3 1(c) ( 4 2 U.S.C. 12 5 83(c)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1), by striking subparagraph (A) and inserting the following: ‘‘(A) the community served, the municipality and government of the county (if appropriate) in which the community is located, and potential participants in the program; and’’; and (2) by striking paragraph (3) and inserting the following: ‘‘(3) in the case of a program that is not funded through a State (including a national service program that a nonprofit organization seeks to operate in 2 or more States), consult with and coordinate activities with the State Commission for each State in which the program will operate, and the Corpora- tion shall obtain confirmation from the State Commission that the applicant seeking assistance under this Act has consulted with and coordinated with the State Commission when seeking to operate the program in that State.’’.
