(2) C LERIC ALA M E ND MENT.—The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 13 7 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new item

(c) TRAN S FER O F PERSONNEL AND FU NCTIONS.— (1) TRANSFER OF FUNCTIONS.—The functions of the O ffice of Program Analysis and Evaluation of the Department of Defense, including the functions of the Cost Analysis Improve- ment G roup, are hereby transferred to the Office of the Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation. (2) TRANSFER OF P ERSONNEL TO DEPUT Y DIRECTOR FOR INDE- PENDENT COST ASSESSMENT.—The personnel of the Cost Anal- ysis Improvement Group are hereby transferred to the Deputy Director for Cost Assessment in the Office of the Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation. (3) TRANSFER OF PERSONNEL TO DEPUTY DIRECTOR FOR PRO- G RAM ANALYSIS AND E V ALUATION.—The personnel (other than the personnel transferred under paragraph (2)) of the Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation are hereby transferred to the Deputy Director for Program Evaluation in the Office of the Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation. (d) CONFORMING AMENDMENTS.— (1) Section 1 8 1(d) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by stri k ing ‘‘Director of the Office of Program Analysis and Evaluation’’ and inserting ‘‘Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation’’. (2) Section 230 6 b(i)(1)(B) of such title is amended by striking ‘‘Cost Analysis Improvement Group of the Department of Defense’’ and inserting ‘‘Director of Cost Assessment and Program Analysis’’. 10USC 1 39cnote.W e bp o s t i n g .
