Amounts appropriated for fiscal year 2010 for the Capitol Police may be transferred between the headings ‘ ‘Salaries ’ ’ and ‘‘ G eneral expenses’’ upon the approval of the Committees on Appropriations of the House of R epresentatives and the Senate. O FF I CEOFCO M PLIA N CE SALARIES AND E XP ENSES For salaries and expenses of the Office of Compliance, as authori z ed by section 305 of the Congressional Accountability Act of1 9 95 ( 2 U .S.C. 13 8 5 ) ,$ 4 ,3 7 7,000, of which $884,000 shall remain available until September 30, 2011: Provided, That not more than $500 may be expended on the certification of the Executive Director of the Office of Compliance in connection with official representation and reception expenses. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISION DISPOSITION OF SURPLUS OR O B SOLETE PERSONAL PROPERT Y SEC. 1101. (a) IN GENERAL. — Title III of the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1381 et se q .) is amended by inserting after section 305 the following: ‘ ‘ SEC.306 . DI S PO SI T IO N O F S UR P L USORO B SOLETE PERSON A L PROP - ERT Y . ‘‘The Executive Director may, within the limits of available appropriations, dispose of surplus or obsolete personal property by interagency transfer, donation, or discarding.’’. (b) TEC H NICAL AND CONFORMING AMENDMENT.—The table of contents for the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1301 et seq.) is amended by inserting after section 305 the following: ‘ ‘ Sec.306 . Dispo si t io n o f s ur p l usoro b solete person a l propert y . ’ ’. (c) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to fiscal year 2010, and each fiscal year thereafter. 2USC1386note. 2 USC 1386.
