RURAL HOUSING ASSISTAN C E GRANTS ( INCLUDING TRANSFER OF FUNDS ) For grants and contracts for very low-income housing repair, supervisory and technical assistance, compensation for construction defects, and rural housing preservation made by the Rural Housing Service, as authorized by 42 U.S.C. 14 7 4, 1479(c), 1490e, and 1490m, $45,500,000, to remain available until expended, of which $4,000,000 shall be for grants authorized by section 14204 of the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008: Provided, That of the total amount appropriated under this heading, the amount equal to the amount of Rural Housing Assistance Grants allocated by the Secretary for Rural Economic Area Partnership Zones for the fiscal year 2009, shall be available through June 30, 2010, for communities designated by the Secretary of Agriculture as Rural Economic Area Partnership Zones: Provided further, That any bal- ances to carry out a housing demonstration program to provide revolving loans for the preservation of low-income multi-family housing projects as authorized in Public L aw 108 – 447 and Public Law 109–97 shall be transferred to and merged with the ‘ ‘Rural
