‘(C) An acti v e commissioned officer from each of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and M arine Corps, an active commissioned officer from the National G uard, and an active commissioned officer from the R eserves, each of whom serves or has served in a leadership position with either a military department command or combatant com - mand. ‘‘(D) A retired general or flag officer from each of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, a retired general or flag officer from the National Guard, and a retired general or flag officer from the Reserves. ‘‘(E) A retired noncommissioned officer from each of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, a retired noncommissioned officer from the National Guard, and a retired noncommissioned officer from the Reserves. ’ ’. SEC. 595. EXPANSION OF SUICIDE PREVENTION AND COMMUNITY HEALIN G AND RESPONSE TRAINING UNDER THE YELLO W RI B BON REINTEGRATION PROGRAM. Section 5 8 2 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 (Public Law 110–181; 10 U .S.C. 10101 note) is amended — (1) in subsection (h)— (A) by striking paragraph ( 3 ); and ( B ) by redesignating paragraphs (4) through (15) as paragraphs (3) through (14), respectively; and (2) by adding at the end the following new subsection: ‘‘(i) S UIC I DE P R E V E NT I O N A ND CO M MUNIT Y HEA L IN G AND RE SP ONSE PROGRAM.— ‘‘(1) ESTA B LIS H MENT.—As part of the Yellow Ribbon Re- integration Program, the O ffice for Reintegration Programs shall establish a program to provide National Guard and Reserve members and their families, and in coordination with community programs, assist the communities, with training in suicide prevention and community healing and response to suicide. ‘‘(2) DESIGN.— I n establishing the program under paragraph (1), the Office for Reintegration Programs shall consult with— ‘‘(A) persons that have e x perience and expertise with combining military and civilian intervention strategies that reduce risk and promote healing after a suicide attempt or suicide death for National Guard and Reserve members; and ‘‘(B) the ad j utant general of each State, the Common- wealth of Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the V irgin Islands. ‘‘(3) OPERATION.— ‘‘(A) SUICIDE PREVENTION TRAINING.— T he Office for Re- integration Programs shall provide National Guard and Reserve members with training in suicide prevention. Such training shall include—
