(b) SE N A T E DI S CR ETI O NAR Y SPEN D IN GL I M ITS.— I n the Senate and as used in this section, the term ‘ ‘discretionary spending limit ’ ’ means— (1) for fiscal year 20 0 9 , $ 1, 3 91, 47 1,000,000 in new budget authority and $1,220, 8 43,000,000 in outlays

and (2) for fiscal year 2010, $1,082,2 5 0,000,000 in new budget authority and $1,2 6 9,471,000,000 in outlays; as adjusted in conformance with the adjustment procedures in subsection (c). (c) AD JU STMENTS IN T H E SENATE.— (1) IN GENERAL.—After the reporting of a bill or joint resolu- tion relating to any matter described in paragraph (2), or the offering of an amendment thereto or the submission of a con- ference report thereon— (A) the chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget may adjust the discretionary spending limits, budg- etary aggregates, and allocations pursuant to section 302(a) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974, by the amount of new budget authority in that measure for that purpose and the outlays flowing therefrom; and (B) following any adjustment under subparagraph (A), the Senate Committee on Appropriations may report appro- priately revised suballocations pursuant to section 302(b) of the Congressional Budget Act of 1974 to carry out this subsection. (2) MATTERS DESCRI B ED.—Matters referred to in paragraph (1) are as follows

(A) CONTINUING DISABILITY RE V IE W S AND SSI REDETER- MINATIONS.— (i) IN GENERAL.—If a bill or joint resolution is reported ma k ing appropriations for fiscal year 2010 that appropriates $273,000,000 for continuing dis- ability reviews and Supplemental Security Income redeterminations for the Social Security Administra- tion, and provides an additional appropriation of up to $485,000,000 for continuing disability reviews and Supplemental Security Income redeterminations for the Social Security Administration, then the discre- tionary spending limits, allocation to the Senate Com- mittee on Appropriations, and aggregates may be adjusted by the amounts provided in such legislation for that purpose, but not to e x ceed $485,000,000 in budget authority and outlays flowing therefrom for fiscal year 2010. (ii) ASSET VERI F ICATION.— T he additional appro- priation of $485,000,000 may also provide that a por- tion of that amount, not to exceed $34,000,000, instead may be used for asset verification for Supplemental Security Income recipients, but only if and to the extent
