Subtitle A—Authorization of Appropriations SEC. 201. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. Funds are hereby authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 2011 for the use of the Department of Defense for research, develop- ment, test, and evaluation as follows: (1) For the Army, $10,093,704,000. (2) For the Navy, $17,881,008,000. (3) For the Air Force, $27,319,627,000. (4) For Defense-wide activities, $21,292,576,000, of which $194,910,000 is authorized for the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation. Subtitle B—Program Requirements, Restrictions, and Limitations SEC. 211. ENHANCEMENT OF DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE SUPPORT OF SCIENCE, MATHEMATICS, AND ENGINEERING EDU- CATION. (a) DISCHARGE OF SUPPORT THROUGH MILITARY DEPART- MENTS.—Section 2192(b) of title 10, United States Code, is amended— (1) by redesignating paragraph (2) as paragraph (3); and (2) by inserting after paragraph (1) the following new para- graph (2): ‘‘(2) The Secretary of Defense may carry out the authority in paragraph (1) through the Secretaries of the military depart- ments.’’.
