Be it enacted by the Senate and House of representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled.Pension to Lemuel BartholowThat the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Lemuel Bartholow, late a private in company G, of the one hundred and twenty-sixth regiment of Ohio volunteers, and pay him a pension, commencing January third eighteen hundred and sixty-three.
Chap. CLXI.—An Act for Relief of Lieutenant- Colonel John W. Davidson, of the United Stales Army.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled.Payment to Lieut-Colonel John W. Davidson for money stolen.That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to John W. Davidson. of the United States army, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of two hundred and eighteen dollars and twenty-five cents, being the amount of public money stolen from him while in his possession at Los Angeles, California, in August, eighteen hundred and forty-seven.
