The single rate of letter postage on the direct corre- Rates oflottor spondence exchanged between the two administrations by closed mail, P°¤*¤8°· via England, subject to the reserve mentioned in article seven of the convention of eleventh day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, shall be as follows : 1. On letters from the United States, 10 cents. 2. On letters from the Swiss Confederation, 50 centimes. And for the sea conveyance of letters in closed mails across the waters of the Atlantic Ocean the United States office shall receive six cents per ounce or per thirty grammes. Anrrcms II.
