And whereas the said supplemental article of treaty having been submitted to the Senate of the United States for its constitutional action thereon, the Senate did, on the sixth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight, advise and consent to the ratification of the same, by a. resolution in the words and figures Following, to wit : -- IN Exncurrvu SEss1oN, SENATE or THE Umrnu Sums, June 6, 1868. Resolved, (two thirds of the Senators present concurring,) That the Senate advise and consent to the ratidcation of the supplemental article [concluded April 27, 1868] to a treaty between the United States and the Cherokee nation of Indians, concluded at Washington city, July 19, 1866; ratified with amendments July 27, 1866; amendments accepted July 31, 1866, and the whole proclaimed August 11, 1866.
