Du Luth Land-district is bounded as follows: Commencing at a corner common to townships forty-five and forty-six north; ranges twenty-three and twenty- four west of the fourth principal meridian; thence north with said range line to the intersection of the boundary-line between the United States and the British possessions; thence eastwardly with said boundary to Lake Superior; thence southwesterly with said lake to the inout of Saint Louis River; thence up said river to the intersection of tue boundary—line between Wisconsin and Minnesota; thence south along said boundary-line to the intersection of the line between townshipsforty·hve and forty-six north; and thence west between townships forty-five and forty-six north to the place of beginning. Alexandria. 55. Alexandria Land—districtis bounded as follows: On the east by the line between ranges thirty-five and thirty-six west of the fifth principal meridian; on the north by the ninth standard parallel north of the base-line; on the south bdy the sixth standard parallel north; and on the west by the western boun - arv of the State of Minnesota. Root River land-district is bounded on the south by the boundary-line between the States of Iowa and Minnesota; on the west by the western bbundary of the State of Minnesota; on the north by the line between townships one hundred and five and one hundred and six north; and on the east by the Mississippi River. New Ulm- 57. New Ulm. VVinona land-district is bounded on the north by the line between townships one hundred and ten and one hundred and eleven north; on the south by the line between townships one hundred and five and one hundred and six north of the base—line; on the east by the Mississippi River, and on the west by the western boundary of the State of Minnesota. Litchfield- 58.
