For granting a permit for a vessel not belonging to a citizen or CIUZBDS of the United tates to proceed from district to district, and receiving the manifest, two dollars. Eleventh. For receiving a manifest, and granting a permit, to unload, for such last-mentioned vessel, on her arrival in one district from another district, two dollars. Twelfth. For granting a permit for a vessel carrying on the fishery to trade at a foreign rt, twenty-five cents, and for the report and entry of any foreign goodho imported in such vessel, twenty-five cents. [Where a surveyor certifies a manifest, or rants a permit, or receives 27 Rb-» 1877. ¢ a certified manifest and grants a permit, the fees arising therefrom shall 69* "‘ 1°• P' 2u be received by him solely for his use; and all other fees arising by virtue of this section shall be received and accounted for by the collector, or, at his option, by the naval officer, where there is one, and where there is a collector, naval officer, and surveyor, shall be equall divided monthl between the said officers; and where there is no navalyoflicer, two-thirdh to the collector and the other third to the surveyor; and where there is only a collector, he shall receive the whole amount thereof; and where there is more than one surveyor in any district, each of them shall receive his proportional art of such fees as shall arise at the port for which he is a pointed; and in all cases where the tonnage of any ship or vessel shall) be ascertained by any person appointed for that purpose, such person shall be paid a reasonable compensation therefor out of the fees aforesaid, before any distribution thereof as aforesaid.] Sec. 4382. For certifying a manifest including inaster’s oath, and granting permit to a vessel under fifty tons, laden with a cargo destined for a port gr place in another district at which there is no custom·house, twenty- ve cents. For the entry of a vessel direct from a foreign port, fifty cents. Thirteenth. For the clearance of a vessel direct to a foreign port, fifty cents. Fourteenth. Vessels dc rting to or arriving from a port in one district to or from a port in an adihining district, an touching at intermediate foreign ports, are exempted from the payment of the entry fees.
