Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Rqpresentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Pension to Martin Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the V- J*°°kS°¤· pensionroll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pensionlnws, the name of Martin V. Jackson, late a first lieutenant in Captain N. J. R0scoe’s Company, Second Regiment of Kansas State Militia. Approved, June 18, 1874. " ‘ CHAP. 319.-An act for the relief of B. W. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the proper accounting Creditin accounts officers of the Treasury Department be, and they are hereby, authorized of B- W· H¤¤‘¤i¤· and directed to adjust and settle the accounts of B. W. Harris, late collector of internal revenue for the second district of Massachusetts; and, on evidence satisfactory to the Gbyernment being produced by said B. W. Harris of the loss by the Boston nre of November ninth und tenth, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, of moneys in his hands, said officers are hereby further directed to audit and allow such sumor sums, not to exceed three hundred and torty-six dollars and fifty-three cents, in the settlement of said colleet0r’s accounts. Approved, June 18, 1874. CHAP, 320.-An act for the relief of Ephraim P. Showalter. June 18, 1874. Whereas, Ephraim P. Showalter was drafted into the service of the United States on the twenty-sixth day of September, eighteen hun- Puymont no dred and sixty-four, for the period of one year; and on the eighteenth Evhmm P-Sh°“’¤‘· day of November, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, was mustered into m' the service of the United States in company D, thirtieth regiment, Indiana Volunteer Infhntry; and whereas, on or about the second dey of December, eighteen hundred and sixty-fon1·, the said Showalter furnished, and caused to be mustered into the service of the United States, a substitute for two years, paying therefor the sum of one thousand dollars; and whereas, notwithstanding he furnished said substitute, said Ephraim P. Showalter was held to service until the twenty-third day of June, eighteen. hundred and sixty-five: Theretore, B0 it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to said Ephraim P. Showalter the sum of five hundred dollars, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated: Provided, That the proviso, same shall be in full for said claim for said substitute. Bc it enacted by the,Senatc and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress » assembled, That the Secretary of the Ifuyment to Julius Treasury be, and he is hereby, instructed to pay to Julius Griesenbeek, G¤‘¤€¤¤¤b°¤k· of Waco, Texas, the sum of two hundred and twelve dollars and fifty cents, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, which shell be in full for his claim for supplies furnished by him for :1. detachment of the United States cavalry, under command of Sergeant Van Urick, in the Service of the United States, :tt.Wzteo, Texas, in the year eighteen linndred and sixty-eight.
