Be it enacted by the Senate cmd House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following sums be, Appropriations; and the same are hereby, appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury ,6 S“1§";;*° °f Mm" not otherwise appropriated for the support of the Military Academy, My ° °my' for the nscal year ending Jjune thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty- one: For pay of professors, twenty-eight thousand three hundred and Peyerpmfeseem fifteen dollars and twenty-eight cents. and °'°h€*°¤· For pay of one instructor of practical military engineering, in addition to pay as first lieutenant, nine hundred dollars. For pay of one instructor of ordnance and science of gunnery, in addition to pay as first lieutenant, nine hundred dollars. For pay of eight assistant professors, in addition to pay as iirst lieutenants, four thousand dollars. · For one commandant of cadets, in addition to pay as captain in the line, two thousand two hundred dollars. For pay of three instructors of cavalry, artillery, and infantry tactics in addition to pay as iirst lieutenants, one thousand five hundred dollars.
