Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Right of way States of America in Congress assembled, That the right of way, by gh'°“€}‘ guéiild tunnel, not exceeding thirty feet in width, through the lands of the Hfjigscgxugg fig; United States now occupied by the United States Light House Estab- York. ’ lishment in the village of New Brighton, county of Richmond, and State of New York, is hereby granted to the Staten Island Rapid Transit p,..,,,i,,,,_ Railroad Company for the purpose of constructing a railroad: Provided, That the said right of way, and the width and location thereof through said lands, and the regulations for operating said railroad within the limits of the same, so as to prevent all danger to public property, shall be submitted to and approved by the Secretary of the Treasury, prior to any entry upon said lands or the commencement of the construction of said works. Sec. 2. That whenever said rights of way shall cease to be used fo1· the purposes aforesaid, the same shall revert to the United States; and that the right to repeal, alter, or amend this act is reserved to Congress. Sec. 2. All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this act are hereby repealed. This act shall be in force from its passage. Approved, February 14, 1881.
