Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That from and after the first Clerk-hire allowday of July, eighteen hundred and eightysix, the allowances for clerk- ““3°¤#,H’°" *‘”d°°°· hire made to postmasters of first and second class post-offices, by the ELS °,?,”c£;S,Y`g§{ Postmaster-General, out of the annual appropriation for clerks in post- clerihal labor. ohices, shall cover the cost of clerical service of all kinds in such postoftices, including the cost of clerical labor in the money-order business; and that all laws or parts of laws inconsistent or in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Sec. 2. That from and after the first day of July, eighteen hundred Alldwances for and eighty-six, the allowances for clerk·hire in money-order business m°¤°5'·°’d°’°1°’k¤ shall not be separately made, but shall be included in the general al- {';gg£,° °°P”“t°` lowances for clerk-hire, and shall be based upon, but not to exceed, the v01_z§,p_5gg_ rates specified in the fourth section of the act of March third, eighteen hundred and eighty-three ; and at all money-order exchangeoffices which are now or may hereafter be established, additional allowances for clerkhire may be made as provided in said section for international exchangeoffices; and postmasters at offices of the first and second classes shall not receive any compensation in addition to their salaries for the transaction of the money-order and postal-note business. ` Approved, June 29, 1886. 'md °*h°"· For one commandant of cadets, in addition to pay of captain in the line, one thousand two hundred dollars. For pay of one instructor of practical military engineering, in addition to pay as first lieutenant, nine hundred dollars. For pay of one instructor of ordnance and science of gunnery, in addition to pay as first lieutenant, nine hundred dollars. For pay of eight assistant professors, in addition to pay as first lieutenants, four thousand dollars. For pay of three instructors of cavalry, artillery, and infantry tactics, in addition to pay as second lieutenants, one thousand five hundred dollars. For pay of four assistant instructors of cavalry, artillery and infantry l tactics,. in addition to pay as second lieutenants, two thousand four hundred dollars. For pay of adj utaut, in addition to pay as second lieutenant, four hundred dollars: Provided, That the sum paid to said officer shall not Provincexceed one thousand eight hundred dollars per annum. _ For pay as treasurer, quartermaster, and commissary of cadets, in addition to pay as captain of infantry, seven hundred dollars. For pay of one master of the sword, one thousand five hundred dollars. For pay of cadets, one hundred and sixty thousand dollars; and no cadet shall receive more than at the rate of hve hundred and forty dollars a year. _ For pay of the teacher of music, one thousand and eighty dollars.
