Carpenter, late of the Eleventh ndependent Battery of Ohio Light Artillery, for a wound of the right leg, accidental y inflicted in camp in December, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, by a pistol in the hands of a comrade. Approved, April 25, 1888. CHAP. 202.—An act granting a pension to Helen M. Randolph. April 25, 1888. Be it enacted by the Senate and House og Re esentattves of the United States of America in Congress assem led, That the Secretary Helen M. Randolph. of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to lace P°“S‘°"‘ on the pension·roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the Eision laws, the name of Helen M. Randolph, widow of John S. ndolph, late of Company I, Thirty-fourth Regiment New York Volunteers, and of Company G, One hundred and eighty-ninth Regiment New York Volunteers. Be it enacted by the Senate and Ho1tse of Rgpresentatives of the Un {ted States %Anzerica in Congress assemble , That the claim of t0§·¤¤¤•=¤ A»B-WM- Samuel A. B. oodford. of Clark Countiy, Kentucky, for the value ` of seventy-five barrels of whisk , taken rom him by order of General Samuel D. Sturgis, in April eighteen hundred and sixty-three, be referred to the Secretary of War, to find and determine whether Secretary lggyvuw or not the United States received the benefit of said whisky, and if “‘°"‘““‘°° · he shall find that said whisky was taken for the benefit of the United States, (and that said claimant was loyal to the United States during the late civil war) to determine and award to the claimant the value of the whisky so taken; and that the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is herebv, authorized and directed to pay the sum soawarded, if any, to said Woodford.
