Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Reiwesentatioes of the United States of America in Congress assemble , That the Postmas- M8i\;bag repairsinop, ter-General be and he is hereby authorized to rent for a term until “{$‘§§{}§‘,§s"§§,; P(;€%,,,,,l July first, eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, a suitable building*<>*<#¤¢*>¤i1<ii¤sf•>r- in the City of Washington for the purpose of bein used as a Ma' Bag Re air Shop and for the storage of the supdiesused by the Post—Oiii)ce Department in supplying post-offices, at a rental not exceeding the rate of three thousand ol ars per annum. And for the purpose of (providing for the expen es incidental to the occupancy of such buil ing and for the proper performance of the work therein, until July first, eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, the following sums are hereby appropriated, payable out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated; For rent three thousand dollars or so muc thereof as may be nec- mgpmiprisriggesfor essary; for two watchmen at the rate of seven hundred and twenty °‘*’° ‘ dollars er annum each; one laborer at the rate of six hundred and sixty dollars er annum; one charwoman at the rate of two hundred ` and forty dollars per annum; for gas two hundred and fifty dollars or so much thereof as may be necessary and fo1·_fuel iiye iundred dogars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, in all, six thousand an ninety dollars.
