Patterson as a captain of the Third West Virginia Cavalry from the twenty-fifth day of November, eighteen hundred and sixty- two, the date of his commission, to the date of muster out of his regiment, and that his name be inscribed and taken up as such captain on the rolls of said regiment. Whitford son of William J. itford, late a private in Company K, Twenty-sixth Re `ment Indiana Volunteers, and to pay him a pension of eighteen dollars per month from and after the ay on which the pension now granted to him shall expire by limitation of law.
