CHAP. 24.-An act to provide for the sale of the site of Fort Bliss, Texas, the """t" sale or removal of the improvements thereof, and for a new site and the construction of suitable buildings thereon. _ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the P£;""T§}”· “°“' D United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary ’ of War is hereby authorized to sell the military reservation known Military reservation as Fort Bliss, near the city of El Paso, in the State of Texas, and my °° "°"‘°'°‘l such of the buildings and improvements thereon as can not be ecosue or smem. nomically removed to the new site herein provided for. In disposing of said property the Secretary of War shall cause the grounds 1>1ma¤g,m. to be platted in blocks, streets, and alleys, if in his judgment it would inure to the benefit of the Government in making sale of said site, having due reference to the requirements of the houses and buildings located on said grounds, in such cases as they may be sold with the ground. The Secretary of War shall also cause the lots, nppmsmwc. lands, and buildings to be appraised and sold at public or private sale, at not less than the appraised value, having iirst been offered Expenses me pm. at public sale. Be it enacted by the Senate and Hou..se of Representattves gif the P¤¤¤*<>¤¤ United States of America in Congress assemble , That all-sol iers, whgélggmwxcur sailors, and marines_ who have since the sixteenth day of June, eightp ’een hundred and eighty, or who may hereafter become so totally and permanently helpless from injuries received or disease contracted in the service and line of duty as to re uire the regular personal aid and attendance of another person, or wclio, if otherwise entitled, were V°¥¤·P·28¤· excluded from the provisions of "An act to increase pensions of certain pensioned sol iers and sailors who are utterly helpless from injuries received or disease contracted while in the United States service," approved June sixteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty, shall be entitled to receive a pension at the rate of seventy-two dollars per month from the date of the passage of this act or of the certiiicate of the examinin surgeon or board of surgeons showing such degree of disability made subsequent to the passage of this act.
