Sec. 2. That this Act shall take eifect and be in force irom and after its passage. Approved, May 15, 1896. CHAP. 187.-An Act Granting a pension to Sarah G. Ives. May 15, 1896. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §,;*¤*j;0‘j· 1**- Interior is hereby authorized and directed, subject to the limitations of ` the pension laws, to place upon the pension roll the name of Sarah G. Ives, widow of Joseph C. Ives, late of Company A Iowa Volunteer Infantry, in the war with Mexico, at the rate of eight dollars per month. Approved, May 15, 1896. . CHAP. 188.-An Act Grantinga pension to Helen A. Jackman, dependent daughter May 15, 1896. of Lieutenant William Jackman, late of Company I, Fourteenth Regiment of Maine ——·—-··—·- Volunteers. Bc it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Helen A-Jwkmm Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the P°"i°"' pension roll the name of Helen A. Jackman, dependent daughter of Lieutenant William Jackman, late of Company I, Fourteenth Regiment of Maine Volunteers, at the rate of twelve dollars per month, subject otherwise to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws. May 15, 1806;*-_ Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That all real estate lying in Anton o1¤•mm-. the District of Columbia heretofore purchased by and conveyed to ,,,,lf,,‘Z.§' {’,$f"',.Z{’,}’,'§‘§ Anton Gloetzner, of said District, prior to the passage of this bill be, f¤>·¤ f¤rf·{¤¤¤·- and it is hereby, relieved and exempted from the operation of the Act V•¤1·24.v-476- entitled “An Act to restrict the ownership of real estate in the Territories to American citizens, and so forth,” approved March third, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, and that all forfcitures incurred by force of said Act in respect of such real estate be, and they are hereby, remitted.
