Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay to Charles Deal, ` late a deputy collector of customs at Champlain, New York, the sum of two hundred and forty dollars and four cents, for expenses incurred by himin the case of Hugh O’Hara against said Deal, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, March 3, 1897. CHAP. 402.-An Act Granting a pension to Edward C. Spotford. M¤¤h 3. 18W- Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of- America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the £f,}‘;j§ Interior be and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll the name of Edward C. Spoiford, late a sergeant of Company F, Thirty-fifth Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and pay him a pension of thirty dollars per month irom and ahaer the passage of this Act, in lieu of the pension now received by him. Approved, March 3, 1897. CHAP. 403.-An Act For the relief of Hattie A. Beach, dependent and helpless $@3. 1897- child of Erastus D. Beach, late a private in Compmy H, Ono hundred and forty- L____'"" third New York Volunteers. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §:£§jnf*-B°¤°¤· Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to grant a pension, ' at the rate of twelve dollars a month, to Hattie A. Beach, dependent and helpless child of Erastus D. Beach, late private Company H, One hundred and forty-third New York Volunteers. Approved, March 3, 1897. CHAP. 404.-An Act Granting a pension to Charlotte Weirer. g Much 8. 1897. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United _ States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §Z§::§f_{,'§¤Q};:;Q;ji_ Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Charlotte Weircr, widow of Antonio Weirer, late of Company E, Second Regiment United States Artillery, and pay her a pension of twelve dollars per month in lieu of the pension she is now receiving. Approved, March 3, 1897. CHAP. 405.-An Act Granting a pension to Lydia W. Holliday. March 3. 1897. Be it enacted In; the Senate and House of Representatives of the United _ _ Sta tes of America in' Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §{,‘}'_f°}X·H°“‘d“Y· Interior be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to place the name of Lydia W. Holliday, of Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia, late army nurse in the army hospitals of the United States Volunteers, in the late war, hom eighteen hundred and sixty-one to eighteen hundred and sixty-tive, on the pension roll, at twenty dollars per month from and after the passage of this Act.
