APFU U. 1898- Be it enacted the Senate and House of Representatives of the United , States oj America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the §g,"$g‘,,]?,§'}f,"§‘,§’,·'§g,d_ Interior be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to increase the pension of R. A. Browning, late a private in Company I, Fourth Regiment Tennessee _Volunteers (Mexican war), from twelve dollars, the amount now received by said Browning under pension certificate 1 um- , bered twelve thousand six hundred and one, to twenty dollars per month. Approved, April 11, 1898. , CHAP. 140.-An Act To permit an increase of the pension of John A. Anderson. April 11, 1898. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the fggpugégpdsggggh Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to grant to John em. Im ’ A. Anderson, late of Battery I, Fifth United States Artillery, and Company A, Fifty-first Indiana Volunteer Infantry, such an increase of his pension as he may, upon Bling an application therefor and upon medical examination, be found to be entitled to on account of disability » arising from disease of spine and general debility, the said allowance to be the same as if his original pension had been granted under the provisions of the general pension laws, and to be governed, as to date of commencement, by the provisions of section forty-six hundred and MQ- S·· ¤°°- **8%- P· ninety-eight and onehalf of the Revised Statutes of the United States: _ Provided, That this Act shall not be so construed as to give an increase gQ‘{',Q‘f,‘}¤,,,mm_ of pension from a date antecedent to the passage hereof .
