Any pgrson, persons, company, or corporation who shall d,§',,‘§,‘€,{,";_$§{§§},”,§ bring, or cause to brought, or aid in bringing, into the district any mid di¤¤=ri<=¢- shee , hog horse, or catt e of antys kind, or any domestic animal of an llzind, knowing the same to _ aifected with any contagious or infvectious disease, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction‘ be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than one thousand dollars. " ; Sec. 241. Any person or persons found violating the provisions of 0,P',$‘g‘§,°{}{,‘§,g*g}‘ ‘fii§ this chapter may e arreste and held without warrant in the same Mwmanner as in cases of persons found breaking the peace; and the person, or persons making the arrest, with or without warrant, shall use _ reasonable diligence to {give notice thereof to the owner or-owners of the animal or animals ound in thecharge of the person or persons arrested, and shall properly care and lprovide for such animal or animals until the owner or owners of suc animal or animals, or a dul authorized agent of the same, shall take charge of the same: Such owner or owners or agent shall claim and take charge of,-the same within sixty days of e date of the notice; and the persdn or persons making such arrest shall have a lien upon such animal or animals for the expense of such care and provisions. ’» Sec. 244, In this chapter the word "‘an1mal" or "animals" shall be mE,${°'““ ""°'d“ °°' held to include all brute creatures, and the words " owner," " owners," “ person," “ persons," and “ whoever " shall be held to include corporations as well as individuals, and the knowledge and acts of agents of and - persons ergployed by corporations in regard to the treatment of animals transport _ , owned, or employed by or 11) the custody ofsuch corporation or corporations shall be held to be acts and knowledge of. such co eration or cor rations. ‘ . , Sino. 245.
