so amended that the special examiner of drugs, medicines, chemicals,
sméuiied` chemical preparations, dyes, dyestuifs, paints, oils, varmshes, and othe1· similar articles, at Philadel hia, Pennsylvania, shall receive a salary of one thousand eight hundred dollars per annum, and shall be paid each year quarterly. tilla Indian Reservation.
Be it enacted by the Senateand House of Representatirves of the United fg3v1L?]}}; I“'“““ States of America in Oangress assembled, That all the lands of the · mms sue pe uu- Umatilla Indian Reservation not included within the new boundaries $‘},s’f"°°“°f°°r°°i° of the reservation and not allotted or required for allotment to the Indians, and which were not sold at the public sale of said lands heretofore held at the price for which they had been appraised, and upon V<>l-2$· P- $*2- the conditions provided in an Act entitled "An Act providing for allotment of lands in Severalt to the Indians residing upon the Umatilla Reservation, in the State of (gre on, and granting patents therefor, and for other purposes," shall be sold at private sale by theregister of the land office in the district within which they are situated, at not less than the appraised value thereof, and in conformity with the provisions Qggjéhce fight_ of said Act: Provided, That any bona fide settler upon any of said lands who is the owner of substantial improvements thereon, and who has so settled and improved any subdivision of said lands, with the intent of permanently residing on the same as a homestead, shall have a preference right to buy the ands so settled upon by him at any time within ninety days after the passage of this Act, upon making satisfactory proof in the local land office as to settlement, intent, and improvements. house at Omaha, Nebraska.
Be it enacted by the Senate and [base of Representatives of the United gmngn. Npbrg mm States of America in Cimgress assembled, That a warehouse for the m.·;l¢l·s°;i¤ii-eiiofzse. storage and distribution of quartermaster supplies, United States Army, be erected, under the direction of the Secretar * of War, upon ground now owned by the United States in the city of (bmaha and State Limit or eps:. of Nebraska, the cost of such building not to exceed the sum of seventy'- tive thousand dollars. ' Appropriation. Sec. 2. That the sum of seventy-five thousand dollars. or so much thereof as may be necessary, be, and the same is herebv, appro riated, out of any money in the Treasury of the United States not otherwise appropriated, to carry into effect the foregoing provisions.
