Whereas, it is provided by section twenty-four of the Act of Con- {’,j;¤*;,°*°·',,m gress, approved March third, eighteen llundred and ninety-one,'p` ` entitled, "An act to repeal timber-culture laws, and for other purposes", "That the President of the United States may, from time to time, set apart and reserve, in any State or Territory having public land bearing forests, in any rt of the public lands wholly or in part covered with timber or undgligrowth, whether of commercial value or not, as public reservations, and the President shall, by public proclamation, declare the establishment of such reservations and the limits thereof "; And whereas, the public lands in the State of Wyoming, within the limits hereinafter described, are in part covered with timber, and it — appears that the public good would be promoted by setting apart and reserving said lands as a public reservation; Now, therefore, I, THEoDoRE RoosEvELT, President of the United m}"g*°=*R°¤¢"°·W¥°· States, by virtue of the power in me vested by section twenty-four of g` the aforesaid Act of Congress, do hereby make known and proclaim that there is hereby reserved from entry or settlement and set apart as a Public Reservation all those certain tracts, pieces or parcels of land l ing and being situate in the State of Wyoming and within the boundlaries particularly described as follows, to wit: Beginning at the point where the ran e line between Ran es seventy- B°“¤d°'*°* six (76) and seventy-seven (77) West, Sixth (6th) Principal Meridian, Wyomin , intersects the boundary line between the States of Wyoming ant? Colorado; thence wester y along said state boundary line to the point where it intersects the range line between Ranges eighty (80) and eighty-one (81) West; thence northerly alon said ran e ine, allowing for the proper offset on the Third (3rd) Standard Parallel North, to the south-east corner of Township fourteen (14) North, Range eighty -one (81) West; thence westerly to the south-west corner of said township; thence northerly along the range line, allowing for the plroper offset on the Fourth (4th) Standard Parallel North, to the nort -west corner of Township seventeen (17) North, Range eighty- one (81) WVest; thence easterly to the north-east corner of said township; thence southerl to the south-east corner of said townshi ; thence easterly alon the Fourth (4th) Standard Parallel North to tli)e south-west corner oPTownship seventeen (17) North, Range seventy- nine (79) iNest; thence northerly to the north—west corner of said township; thence easterly to the north·east corner of Section five (5), Township seventeen (17) North, Range seventy-eight (78) West; thence southerly along the section lines, allowing for the roper offset on the Fourth (4th) Standard Parallel North, to the south-east corner of Section thirty-two (32), Township fifteen (15) North, Range seventy- eight (78) West; thence westerly to the north-east corner of Township fourteen (14) North, Ran e eighty (80) West; thence southerly to the south-east corner of said townshrgp; thence easterly along the township line to the north—east corner of ownship thirteen (13) North, Range seventy-seven (77) West; thence southerly along the range line, allowing for the proper offset on the Third (3rd) Standard Parallel North, to the point where it intersects the boundary line between the States of Wyoming and Colorado, the fplace of beginning.
